Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, we are proud to support organizations like Lad Lake that provide hope, healing, and life-changing opportunities for vulnerable youth across Wisconsin.
Headquartered in Dousman, Wisconsin, Lad Lake serves young people facing significant challenges, including abuse, neglect, homelessness, trafficking, addiction, and trauma. Through compassionate care, support services, education, and skill-building programs, Lad Lake helps youth develop the confidence, resilience, and tools they need to thrive.
Creating Opportunities for Growth
One way Lad Lake brings communities together in support of its mission is through the annual Kettle Classic bike, walk, and run event. With support from the County Materials Family of Companies, this year's event raised $22,660 and welcomed more than 250 participants, strengthening programs that empower at-risk youth to heal, grow, and succeed.
Our support also helped expand Lad Lake's Mountain Bike Program, a therapeutic, skill‑building initiative that encourages physical activity, teamwork, and perseverance in a structured way to build confidence, resilience, and healthy habits. Funding helped create new trails, add a bike storage and maintenance facility for storing and maintaining equipment, and provide mountain bikes, helmets, and other essential equipment for participating youth.
