GiGi’s Playhouse is a community space in Wausau, Wisconsin, dedicated to individuals of all ages with Down syndrome. GiGi’s Playhouse offers various programs where participants can explore their abilities at their own pace, interact with peers, and grow their skills.
The County Materials Family of Companies partners with GiGi’s Playhouse to support the Down syndrome community. Recently, we provided support for their impactful programming. The programs offered at GiGi’s Playhouse are managed by a team of trained volunteers and are provided to families at no cost, ensuring there are no barriers to accessing resources, support, and services.
One standout initiative is GiGiMOVE, an inclusive fitness program that supports physical development, sensory regulation, and social engagement. GiGiMOVE is adapted to individual interests and abilities, offering activities such as team sports, yoga, martial arts, and more.
Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, the County Materials Family of Companies supports worthy organizations like GiGi’s Playhouse. We provide support in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Member & Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
