The County Materials Family of Companies is proud to announce that four of our hardworking and dedicated team members from the Florida Wet-Cast Operation have graduated from the National Precast Concrete Association’s (NPCA) Master Precaster Program.
Congratulations to Troy Thayer, Daniel Shumate, MJ Sever, and Grant Richardson on their achievement.
What Does it Take to Become a Master Precaster?
To earn the title of Master Precaster, individuals must complete a rigorous two-year curriculum through NPCA’s Precast University. The program develops industry experts with a comprehensive understanding of the entire precast process, from batching and mixing to leadership and plant management.
Our graduates have successfully mastered six critical Production & Quality School courses:
● Core Fundamentals of Quality Concrete Production
● Safety: Advanced safety protocols and hazard identification
● Production: Lean manufacturing, repair techniques, and lifting and handling
● Technical: Blueprint reading, design theory, and industry specifications
● Quality Assurance & Control: Mastery of aggregate analysis, moisture control, and testing standards
● Leadership: Development of management styles and conflict resolution
“By completing this program, these team members have demonstrated a deep commitment to professional excellence and industry leadership. Their enhanced expertise ensures that the County Materials Family of Companies continues to deliver the highest quality precast solutions to our customers while maintaining a safe work environment,” stated Mark Shumate, Director of Precast Installation Sales & Logistics.
Please join us in congratulating our new Master Precasters on this outstanding achievement. We look forward to seeing their continued growth and impact on our operations.
