Building Change, based in St. Peter, Missouri, is an organization dedicated to preventing veteran suicide through comprehensive support and advocacy. Veterans face unique challenges, and Building Change is committed to ensuring that every veteran feels valued, connected, and empowered on their path to healing.
On September 26th, 2026, the organization will host its 8th annual 22 Strong Walk, an event that raises awareness and funds to support veterans in need. The number 22 symbolizes the 22 veterans who lose their lives to suicide each day—a statistic that highlights the urgency of Building Change’s mission. Since the first Strong Walk in 2019, the event has raised more than $400,000.
