The County Materials Family of Companies is committed to supporting local technical education programs to provide greater hands-on learning opportunities for students by donating supplies, tools, and funds. SkillsUSA is a nonprofit national education association that helps students prepare for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations.
At the beginning of April, SkillsUSA Wisconsin returned to Madison, Wisconsin, for the 53rd Annual State Leadership and Skills Conference (SLSC). This event brings together more than 2,000 students, teachers, advisors, and industry professionals for competitions, leadership development, and networking.
The County Materials Family of Companies was proud to be a sponsor of this event. The winners of the statewide competitions will move on to the national SkillsUSA Championships, held the first week of June in Atlanta.
Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, we partner with organizations like SkillsUSA to educate students about the benefits of careers in the concrete manufacturing industry.
