Jared Benson’s drive to learn new skills helped him evolve into several roles within our company, including his most recent position of Transportation Manager. In 2002, Jared began his career with County Materials as a Ready-Mix Driver. His determination and teamwork skills enabled him to expand his responsibilities as a Flatbed Driver, Dispatcher, and Dispatch Supervisor throughout his career.
“The company has helped me grow professionally and personally by empowering me and growing my leadership skills to help others be successful. No challenge is too big. The achievement I’m most proud of is the successful delivery of 273 massive girders for the Mile-Long Bridge in Southwest Chicago. It couldn’t have been achieved without the teamwork and efforts put forth by our dispatchers, mechanics, and drivers.”
Jared believes working as a team and asking for help are the best ways team members can prioritize safety and support each other. “We’re all in this together. We watch out for one another and make sure everyone goes home at the end of the day. It’s not about the individual – everybody here contributes to the success of the company.”
Together, we’re building a company that hardworking people are proud to work for, live near, and do business with since 1946.
