Architectural Concrete Units

Horizontal Banded Units

Horizontal Banded Units

Banding can add visual interest to a large expanse of wall with horizontal alterations in masonry unit depth or by creatively leading the eye skyward with stark perpendicular lines of dark and light.

Offset Units

Offset Units

Units with an offset face produce a very highly textured wall, with strong patterns of light and shadow. The offsets make it appear as if adjacent units are staggered. This effect is accomplished by using a unit mold with the desired offsets.

Oversized Units

County Materials offers oversize concrete masonry units in several striking styles. Oversized concrete masonry units can be manufactured with many textures and facing styles to create visual character and varying scale.

With their superior quality and sophisticated character, Premier Ultra Burnished masonry is an elegant alternative in concrete masonry construction.

Ribbed/Fluted Units

Ribbed/Fluted Units

Ribbed concrete masonry units (often called fluted units) typically have 4, 6, or 8 vertical ribs that align to form continuous vertical elements in the finished wall.

Scored Units

Scored units reduce the perceived scale of the masonry wall while still allowing construction using full sized units.

Splitface Units

County Materials' Splitface units offer the subtle look of chiseled stone. The textured surface is produced by molding two units face-to-face, then mechanically splitting them apart after curing, creating a random fractured surface.

Tumbled Units

Tumbled Units

Rough-hewn textures of tumbled concrete masonry units give walls an Old World appearance of hand-chiseled stone.

Wirecut / Striated Units

Wirecut / Striated Units

Striated units achieve an overall texture and naturally rough look by means of small vertical grooves molded into the unit face. Striation can be applied to scored and ribbed units as well.
