Insulated Sandwich Walls Increase the Speed of Construction to Keep Pace with Central Indiana’s Rapid Growth

Central Indiana has been in the national spotlight for its recent continued growth that is outpacing other Midwestern communities. The area’s business boom has contributed to dozens of newly built warehouses popping up across the region at a persistent pace. Among the latest industrial warehouse facilities built in the Indianapolis-metro is DRG Plainfield.

To construct the 338,500 SF warehouse, County Materials manufactured 273 Insulated Sandwich Wall (ISW) panels, consisting of 112,000 SF of prestressed, precast concrete. Project contractor ARCO/ Murray specified ISWs for their structural capabilities, design flexibility, and thermal value that contribute to significant costs savings without sacrificing quality.
