Hollowcore Plank Offers Enhanced Structural Capabilities for Massive Upscale Multi-Family Housing Complex

RiZE at Opus Park is a recently developed six-story, 322-unit multi-family housing complex that is part of one of the largest housing projects in the Minneapolis – Saint Paul metro. The residential structure rests on a two-story parking garage foundation, built with prestressed hollowcore manufactured by County Materials. Hollowcore plank was specified for its structural capabilities and prolonged service life that will keep residents safe for many years to come. In total, over 191,000 SF of hollowcore plank, 730 SF of solid plank, and 10,150 lineal feet of precast beams and columns were used to construct the complex’s foundation.
