County Materials’ Partnership with Lunda Construction is Award-Winning

County Materials congratulates Lunda Construction Co. of Black River Falls for the Small Structures Award at the 2022 Hardscape North America (HNA) Awards Banquet.

Each year, the HNA Awards showcases Wisconsin’s finest landscaping and hardscaping projects featuring products such as pavers, retaining wall units, and stone. These projects demonstrate exceptional beauty, innovation, and sustainability in using hardscape. A panel of industry professionals selects winners based on their excellence of practicality, creativity, design, materials selection, technique and craftsmanship, and overall aesthetics.

Lunda Construction Co. competed in the Small Structures Category with the County V bridge over Bridge Creek in Eau Claire County. This structure replacement required careful consideration of construction methods and seismic monitoring for the project's duration due to its proximity to the historic Dells Mill.

The County V bridge over Bridge Creek is an excellent example of how County Materials’ hardscapes can be used for small structures. The hardscape was designed to complement the natural surroundings and help maintain the area's historic character.
