County Materials Partners with Little Lakes Memories to Provide Outdoor Experiences that Empower

Little Lakes Memories is a nonprofit organization that provides people with disabilities the opportunity to explore the outdoors without limitations. Guests and their families gather for a weekend respite at Little Lakes Lodge in Irma, WI, where they are met with caring, experienced hosts that provide an accessible nature experience. Caretakers are welcome to join in on the fun or temporarily step away from their roles. The organization facilitates year-round hunting and non-hunting adventures that instill a feeling of accomplishment. Guests leave the retreat feeling empowered after realizing they can do things that they once thought were impossible due to physical limitations. Each year, the organization hosts nearly 10 families and gives them an experience they will remember.

County Materials, through the Sonnentag Foundation, supports Little Lakes Memories in its mission to provide lodging, recreation, and hunting to people with disabilities. This year, in celebration of our company’s 75th anniversary, County Materials is committed to share 75 Stories of Impact, featuring organizations that receive funding from the Sonnentag Foundation and are part of the communities where we have locations.
