County Materials Honors the Fallen by Helping the Wounded

Camp Hope, located in Farmington, MO, is a getaway for many wounded heroes. William “Mike” and Galia White founded Camp Hope after their son, Christopher passed away serving in Iraq in 2006. The White family uses Camp Hope to keep Chris’ spirit alive and share his passion for the outdoors with veterans. Camp Hope offers countless opportunities to explore nature, including fishing, hunting, and hiking. All expenses are covered for veterans wounded in combat, from travel to food and lodging. Camp Hope has an attentive all-volunteer staff who are trained to work with veterans of all abilities.

County Materials, through the Sonnentag Foundation, helps Camp Hope provide empowering services to wounded veterans. This year, in celebration of our company’s 75th anniversary, County Materials is committed to share 75 Stories of Impact, featuring organizations that receive funding from the Sonnentag Foundation and are part of the communities where we have locations.
