County Materials Helps Local High School Students Gain Hands-On Experience in Concrete Manufacturing

County Materials participated in the St. Croix Valley Builders Association’s Build My Future event earlier this month. More than 1,000 high school students attended this event and were inspired to pursue careers in skilled trades.

Three interactive stations were set up by County Materials’ team members, allowing students first-hand experience quality testing concrete, twisting rebar for prestress concrete, and drilling through precast concrete structures. These stations helped students to gain insight into the variety of careers available at County Materials.

With 75 years of industry experience, County Materials supports professional development and growth opportunities, and provides on the job training, requiring minimal industry experience. Our company takes care of team members with competitive wages, benefits, paid time off, and paid holidays.

County Materials participates in similar events to continually build our industry and inspire the next generation of skilled workers.

Together, we’re building a company that hardworking people are proud to work for, live near, and so business with since 1946.
