County Materials Donates Ready-Mix to Expand Crossroads K9 Rescue for Service and Police Dog Training

Crossroads K9 Rescue of Kronenwetter, WI, rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes dogs that are left homeless, abandoned, or helpless in overpopulated shelters. The organization’s trained staff help rescued dogs reach optimal physical and emotional health while they wait for their forever home. Additionally, Crossroads K9 Rescue offers a Crossroads K9s for Cops program to equip Wisconsin police departments with trained canine partners. Police dogs are a valuable asset. They deter crime, locate missing persons, and apprehend violent suspects with less than lethal force. The Crossroads K9s for Cops program was founded in memory of fallen Everest Metro Police Detective, Jason Weiland.

With expanding services, it was a matter of time before Crossroads K9 Rescue outgrew its current space. County Materials donated 15 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete to help the organization expand its facility and offer year-round training services.

This year, in celebration of our company’s 75th anniversary, County Materials is committed to share 75 Stories of Impact, featuring organizations that receive funding from the Sonnentag Foundation and are part of the communities where we have locations.
