The Antigo Area Dugout Club is an organization located in Antigo, WI that supports local youth and high school baseball programs. The club collaborated with the City of Antigo to update the Al Remington Little League Ball Field.
The Al Remington Little League Ball Field is utilized by high school softball and youth baseball and softball. The ball field is positioned on a slope that limits viewing for spectators. Safety concerns increased as attendees began sitting on the sidewalk, forcing pedestrians to walk on a busy road.
The solution was a 976 SF covered seating deck that improves visibility and accessibility to the field. County Materials donated 30 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete, Oversize Landscape Step Units, County Cub® Retaining Wall System units, and a variety of concrete pavers to the project. The completed seating deck provides a safer viewing area for spectators and a new event space for community events.
This year, in celebration of our company’s 75th anniversary, County Materials is committed to share 75 Stories of Impact, featuring organizations that receive funding from the Sonnentag Foundation and are part of the communities where we have locations.
