County Materials Celebrates Culture and Heritage with Cinco de Mayo Team Member Appreciation Events

County Materials hosted Cinco de Mayo lunches for team members at several of our manufacturing facilities. Cinco de Mayo celebrates the date of the Mexican Army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla, helping establish a sense of unity and patriotism for Mexican people.

Today in the United States, Cinco de Mayo has evolved into a commemoration of Mexican culture and heritage, particularly in areas with large Mexican-American populations. County Materials celebrated the day by serving traditional Mexican food during a company sponsored lunch.

At our Roberts, WI facility, the event also was an opportunity for our company to remind team members about working safely. Vorpal Safety attended and talked with team members about personal protective equipment, and Esch Construction Supply demonstrated several tools that enhance worker safety.

County Materials’ recognition of Cinco de Mayo and team member appreciation events are an example of how the company demonstrates its Vision of Success, Stability and Support.
