On February 26th, County Materials Corporation’s aggregate production team members visited the Fabick CAT facility in Weston, WI for a day of hands-on equipment and safety training. This is the second year County Materials and Fabick CAT have partnered for this successful event. Working directly with Fabick CAT provided team members the opportunity to train with specialized equipment personnel and expand their safety knowledge.
Team members participated in several sessions, including equipment walk arounds and inspections, screener training, and an aggregate learning session with County Materials’ Corporate Geologist, Jim Small. In addition, this event allowed for aggregate production team members from across several locations to come together and address any questions or concerns and share ideas.
“Training means a lot and helps everybody do their job,” said Ted Peterson, Operations Manager for County Materials’ aggregate locations. “It was great to hear everybody’s ideas and to share information. These sessions allow us to update our processes and work towards always moving forward.”
Safety is an important part of fulfilling County Materials’ Vision of Success, Support and Stability. The company continuously makes strategic investments in updating equipment with enhanced safety mechanisms and new safety equipment. “We’ve made huge advancements in safety initiatives,” said Peterson.
