ACI Concrete Flatwork Certification Training Sponsored by WRMCA

The Wisconsin Ready Mixed Concrete Association is sponsoring a certification course with ACI Concrete Flatwork trained instructors in Central Wisconsin. The ACI Concrete Flatwork Certification is approved for 11 hours of credit for Dwelling Contractor Certification. 

Part 1 of the course will be held Tuesday, January 28th: 8:00 am-5:00p.m. and Part 2 of the course and Exam will be held Wednesday, January 29th: 8:00 am-Noon. The course will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2101 North Mountain Road, Wausau, WI 54401. Note that class size is limited to 30 people. You are required to bring a calculator to the class.

The course covers basic concrete technology, concrete materials and mix proportioning, concrete control testing, proper use of finishing tools, concrete placing, finishing techniques, jointing, concrete curing and extreme weather protections, and problems in concrete. Contractors who register through the WRMCA are encouraged to contact their County Materials sales representative to learn more about their eligibility to apply for a $100 scholarship from County Materials. Qualifications include:

  1. Must be existing County Materials customer with minimum of two years of business.
  2. Scholarships are only offered to private concrete contractors. 
  3. A maximum of four attendees are eligible for scholarships per customer account. 
  4. Private concrete contractors must successfully complete and fulfill certification requirement by July 1, 2020.
