I-43 Northbound and Hampton Avenue

County Materials’ Prestressed Bridge Girders were specified for the replacement of the I-43 northbound bridge over the Milwaukee River. Utilizing our enhanced production capacity at our Roberts, Wisconsin facility, we manufactured 41 girders in time to meet the project’s deadline. Once on site, drivers had to drive off-road on a ramp the contractor constructed to access the river, where the girders were safely unloaded using tow cranes. Prestressed bridge girders are a resilient, high-performance material. Supporting high load capacities, prestressed bridge girders are an ideal material for highway bridges with high traffic.
