Holy Cross Sisters set to cut ribbon on new addition to residence
MERRILL, Wis. (April 21, 2006) – Elderly residents will be able to sleep soundly and securely in the new addition to Bell Tower Residence once the Holy Cross Sisters, who operate the facility, cut the ribbon on Thursday, April 27.
The ceremony will mark the grand opening of the non-profit facility, which was built in 1946 as a convent and now offers a unique living option for residents 55 and older. County Materials, also founded in 1946, supplied all of the ready-mix concrete that comprises the foundation and floors of the new structure, as well as the structural concrete block that forms the walls and backbone.
“From one 60-year-old organization to another, we want to congratulate the Holy Cross Sisters for all they’ve done for the elderly in the Merrill area, and for all they’ll be able to do with this addition,” County Materials Marketing Director Rebecca Sonnentag said. “It’s nice to be a part of this project.”
County Materials operates 30 locations serving the Midwest. The family-owned, American-based company is an industry leader in the manufacture and distribution of concrete block, brick, ready-mix, hollowcore, pipe, pavers, retaining walls and Aggregate finish products for residential, commercial and municipal construction and landscaping.
