County Materials Retaining Wall Featured at Minnesota State Fair
MARATHON, Wis. (October 2, 2002) – County Materials was selected by the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA) to help create its display for the Minnesota State Fair this summer.
Landscape designer, Tim Krey of Nature View, Inver Grove Heights, used 400 units of gray County Block" retaining wall, covering 325 square feet, to create a show-stopping garden that also incorporated shrubbery, flowers, trellises and a fountain. Over one million people attended the state fair that ran from August 22 to September 2.
"We're proud to have been selected from among the other landscape product suppliers in the association. This tells me that our retaining wall is seen as one of the best in the industry," says David De Juliannie, County Materials sales representative for Minnesota.
According to De Juliannie, the patented County Block system is manufactured by County Materials and is a light-weight, innovative and mortarless retaining wall system that installs easily by landscape designers and contractors. "County Block is an effective and naturally beautiful solution for slope protection, terraces and erosion control that requires minimal maintenance throughout its lifetime," he said.
