County Materials to Make Financial Contribution to Wisconsin Architect Foundation
Marathon, Wis. (May 25, 2004) County Materials Corporation announces that it will make a financial contribution to the Wisconsin Architect Foundation, a leading advocate for the states architectural community. County Materials supports WAFs mission to build a better Wisconsin through architectural education.
Were proud to be involved with an organization that provides scholarships to hundreds of Wisconsin students pursuing degrees in architecture, as well as strives to increase the publics awareness of our states architecture, says Bob Goldman, corporate sales manager for County Materials.
County Materials will make the financial contribution based upon a portion of sales from Sound Cell Block, an architectural acoustical masonry unit manufactured by the company. Sound Cell is a load-bearing concrete unit that offers superior sound absorption, structural integrity and interior aesthetic appeal. The contribution will be presented at the annual American Institute of Architects state convention, scheduled for May 4, 2005.
Since founding in 1953, WAF has contributed over $300,000 to Wisconsin architectural students. WAF relies on regular contributions by architects and allied professionals to continue offering annual scholarships and public outreach programs.
