Parade of Homes puts masonry on display June 17
LA CROSSE, Wis. (May 25, 2007) – As the visitors file through, La Crosse Area Builders Association members such as County Materials will eagerly await the positive feedback that is sure to follow during the Parade of Homes on June 17-19 and 20-25.
Early in the tour, at stop No. 4, 502 Russell Drive North in Holmen, County Materials supplied about 45 square feet of Cultured Stone® Caramel Country Ledge manufactured stone for full coverage of a fireplace in the lower level.
“It gives the lower level a more casual, rustic-type of look,” said Steve Sader of Sader Construction, who also ran brick wainscoting across bumpouts of a bedroom and the garage on the 3,400-square-foot home.
A few stops later, at 550 Driftwood in West Salem, builder Ken Gorman of Gorman Construction laid 360 square feet of Cultured Stone® Old Country Fieldstone, in the Riviera mix of grays and reds that runs halfway up the exterior of the home. As for the importance of the Parade to local homebuilders, Gorman summed it up.
“It’s the only advertising I do,” he said.
