EAU CLAIRE , Wis. (June 27, 2006)— New masonry, landscape showroom beckons on Menomonie Street.
Taking just a few steps inside the door will transport visitors from County Materials' new showroom, at 1111 Menomonie St., to a courtyard at their own business, or into their back yards.
That's because County Materials, a longtime member of the Eau Claire community, recently upgraded its showroom. Now on display is a beautiful selection of building products - including brick, stone and tumbled masonry veneers, along with a wide variety of retaining-wall block, garden wall units, pavers and patio accessories that make a serious statement for any business or can transform any yard into a stately sanctuary.
"People may not have even realized we had all this until now," said County Materials' Steve Rubenzer, who works next to the showroom floor and helped design it. "We went with the sharp, 90-degree corners with the County Block to show people how well the corner units fit, and then we were able to show some sweeping curves with the County Cub."
County Materials can be reached at 1-800-729-7701 and is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. The Menomonie Street location also has an outdoor display area through which folks can browse anytime, even after hours. Both indoor and outdoor show areas feature samples of the stunning brick that has made County Materials the largest distributor in Wisconsin.
Inside, visitors pass between a pair of 3-foot pillars comprised of versatile Summit StoneT - which also can serve as seat walls and borders - and across a threshold of SurefootT pavers that give businesses and municipalities a new option to enhance the safety of pedestrians with vision impairments. Within borders of County Block retaining-wall units and County Cub garden-wall units lies a field of tumbled concrete pavers - Lexington StoneT comes in three sizes for a vintage, appearance; and County Pavers can form a number of unique patterns as a solid base for any patio or walkway.
Inlaid steps of County Block, mix with the Landscape Step Units that can be used with any retaining wall system. Along the back wall is County Materials' new TributeT Retaining Wall block, which offers three options for a setback.
County Materials operates 30 locations serving the Midwest, including Eau Claire and western Wisconsin. The family-owned, American company is an industry leader in the manufacture and distribution of concrete block, brick, stone, ready-mix, hollowcore, pipe, pavers, retaining walls and Aggregate Finish products for residential, commercial and municipal construction and landscaping.
