AGC honors building projects, County Materials
MARATHON, Wis. (Nov. 14, 2005) – County Materials shared in the honors as the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Wisconsin handed out their third annual Build Wisconsin awards on Wednesday at the Overture Center for the Arts in Madison. County Materials supplied concrete construction products for four of the award-winners:
General Contractor - New Construction Category
- 125,000 brick, 3,700 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete, 54,000 units of structural block
- General and mason contractor: Miron Construction, Neenah
- 60,000 8-inch natural gray splitface block
- General and mason contractor: Kraemer Bros., Plain
Specialty Contractor - Mechanical Category
- 170,000 structural block comprising interior and exterior walls of 400,000-square-foot facility
- General and mason contractor: J.H. Findorff & Sons, Madison
Excellence in Partnering Award
- 163,000 units of structural block
- General contractor: Vogel Bros. Building Co., Madison; Mason contractor: Crowley Masonry Inc., Oregon
